Structure and Description
■ The secret of conveying curled machining swaf smoothly is...

The conveying surface of the CB conveyer is made of the special structured chains and resin belt assembly.
Chains on the both side of the conveyer frame are combined with slats, then the resin belt is put on the slats and is fixed with the machining swarf catchers.
Therefore, tensional force is not applied directly (low load) on the resin belt. (Fig. 1)

Forward force and vertical force occurs when machining swarf comes out of the ejected horizontal part of the conveyer enters into the vertically-rising part. At this time, the tension-relief structure of the belt, deflection is applied to the belt and machining swarf is wrapped with the frame (back board) and the belt. (Fig. 2)

■ To avoid troubles...
A large-scale maintenance is necessary if machining swarf gets stuck in the conveyer frame.
For easy maintenance, the CB conveyer basically has only one point for troubleshooting.
At the vertically-rising part of the CB conveyer, defective swarf is overload-detected by the torque limiter and the proximity switch, and then is stopped. In this case, operation can easily be restarted just by eliminating the overloading element in reverse running.

The catcher scrapes fine machining swarf comes out with curled machining swarf. It also scrapes fine machining swaf piled on the bottom of the conveyer frame and contributes to reduction of trouble. (Scraper function of the catcher) (Fig. 4)

■ The utility of the vertical structure
Comparing with the conventional 60-degree gradient-type conveyer, approx. 800 mm space can be saved (company data). Therefore, efficient layout for the product line and utilization of the dead space can be achieved.
